God reveals himself to us through his magnificent creation:
Romans 1:19-20 – 19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.
He has also revealed himself historically through direct communications with mankind, which today we can read about in his inspired and infallible word, the Bible:
Hebrews 1:1-2 – 1 Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.
These are two concepts theologians call general and special revelation. For a more thorough explanation of these concepts I recommend reading Chapter 2 of Louis Berkhof’s Summary of Christian Doctrine available on the Monergism.com website, where you can also find links to many other writings on the topics of general and special revelation.
Through this new series of blog posts, “God is Revealed…” I plan to share more frequent, shorter posts with favorite Bible passages and photos from some of the beautiful places in God’s creation that I have been blessed to visit and capture through the lens of my camera. God speaks to us through his creation and his word, the Bible. These posts are my attempt to share with others the things that I hear when I read his word and gaze out upon his magnificent creation.
If you already know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, I hope you will be inspired! For those who do not, I hope you will realize that God is reaching out to you personally and revealing himself to you daily through his amazing creation and his inspired word, if only you will take the time to look and listen and hear his voice…to God be the glory!
Yours in Christ,

God reveals Himself in so many ways. Just today Donna and I were sitting in our back yard enjoying this wonderful autumn day and discussing life in general. This morning I was listening to David Jeramiah discuss depression. He stated that when his wife reads a book she always reads the last chapter first. that way she does not have to go through the shock and anxiety of what is going to happen as she reads the full story. She knows the outcome already. Many people have asked me how I have coped with the things that have happened in my lifetime. One thing is the inspiration I have received and continue to receive from my family and friends. But most of all I get the greatest strength in knowing WHAT IS IN THE LAST CHAPTER. God has revealed to me through His Son that I don’t have to concern myself with what is going to happen. He has already taken care of that for me. Therefore, I am able to enjoy the peace and tranquility that He reveals in His glorious creation.
